Yes, you read that right, a dino-riding faction!
Brutal and New
Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings, the fantasy regimental miniature wargame by Para Bellum Wargames starts this autumn with three releases. One of which is a dual-kit for the Hundred Kingdoms faction. Additionally to this, Para Bellum Wargames offered a glimpsed into the design, minis and lore of its next faction, the W’adrhŭn.
“Halberds, bulky warriors and dinosaurs. That’s what sums up our September” says Leandros Mavrokefalos, the Community Manager of Para Bellum Wargames. The Hundred Kingdoms, Conquest’s take on the classic, medieval fantasy human faction, gets a serious boost to their armies. This includes dual kit of the Household Guards and Gilded Legion regiments. Both are heavily armored units and a strong addition to their sub-factions, the Nobility and the Imperial Remnants respectively. The new Conquest releases also see the Viking-trope faction of the Nords receive the Captain Command Upgrade model. We’ll also see the terrifying Huskarls; a beautiful regiment of heavily armored Nordic warriors. This compliments well the Nords’ fast and aggressive play style with some strong defensive stats to secure objectives.
Much to the excitement of their community, Para Bellum also offered a first look of their fifth faction, the W’adrhŭn. In its take on the orc-archetype, Conquest showed the tribal W’adrhŭn right where they had promised: riding to battle on dinosaurs! Taking the Center Stage of Virtual Tabletop Gaming Live 2020, Para Bellum showcased four regiments along with a lot of concept art, while Creative Director Stavros Halkias walked us through the lore and design of the much anticipated faction.
