PHR Fleet Command

It is the year 2672, a time of war on a galactic scale. The mighty battlefleets of the United Colonies of Mankind are ranged against those of the alien Scourge, vile overlords of humanity’s once great homelands – the seven Cradle Worlds and Earth itself. The Colonies are on the offensive, the will of an entire species bent on vengeance. This grand endeavor is known as the Reconquest; the greatest military enterprise in the history of mankind. Thousands of ships and millions of soldiers battle for victory in the void and on land.

So Jez has regaled us with the beginnings of his tales with the UCM, whilst I am taking a different route as I am going to be mainly using the Post Human Republic or the (PHR) these highly modified and advanced Humans whose intentions are less clear than a transparent disc at the bottom of a murky pond, are my favorite faction from Dropzone Commander and moving into Dropfleet Commander I just prefer the look of there ships, although the UCM ships do look really nice as well.

PHR Starter Fleet

So far I have managed to get them built and undercoated and this weekend I shall liberally be splashing paint around all over the place, so I am hoping that some lands on these incredibly nicely detailed kits, I may even go all out and spray up the bases as well to make the entire force look unique I am just hoping that it wont affect the functionality of the bases.

Looking at the fleet I like how they have managed to keep the sleek look of the faction, much like they have done with the Shaltari, now not being a backer of the kickstarter has ment that I have lost out on the opportunity of getting the super exclusive battleships but I intend on picking up the regulat Battleships very soon, but I can’t see me using it from the get go due to other players wanting to keep the games slightly smaller to begin with.

PHR Heracles/Minos Battleship

As with the original Dropzone Commander I think it will hold true of just getting a second starter set or a few to begin with rather than worrying about the different types of fleet boxes, as the starter sets offer better value for money and you can build pretty much all of the ships out of a set (although not all at the same time).

The starter set is the perfect way to get started with a PHR fleet or add to an existing one, since it can be configured to almost any requirement!
