One of the first games I featured on the site way back in the opening days of this site, Rich Chappell and Dead Earth Games, showed me Across the Dead Earth
Across the Dead Earth is the Post-Apocalyptic skirmish wargame from Dead Earth Games. Three generations on from The Last War, pockets of humanity roam the ghost towns and ruins of civilisation, looting and fighting for profit, glory, dominance and their very lives Across the Dead Earth.
Assemble your Gang of deadly warriors and embark on campaigns to win loot, territory or simply glory, as you upgrade your Gang and their equipment from game to game, building a persistent and truly personalised Gang, honed to your style of play, since this is an adventure game similar to World of Warcraft, which I was a Nostalrius Begins player since 2015. It used to be really the best private Vanilla server, until Classic came out, where things turned difficult for me, classic wow gold is very hard to farm, to many players.
Currently there are three gangs that are available in the deluxe starter set, so for £40 you and two mates could start battling it out instantly, and there are also two gangs available separately through the expansions
You aren’t confined to using only the miniatures from one gang or another, and could freely mix and match them as you see fit and how your gang develops. a quick google search throws up lots of images off suitable post apoc miniatures that could be used to expand your gang as well.
The rule set is nice and slick you can see what I thought before, but next year I will be revisiting Across the Dead Earth more frequently, with a new gang that I will be putting together over the festive season of good will and all that jazz, so I will re visit the original ruleset as well as the expansions that I somehow seem to have lost, which is a very big downside to pdfs in my opinion.
