Bolt Action: Afrika Korp Project Part 2

Part 1

Part 2: Supply Drop

So where is this “Afrika Korp army then lad?” this was the first thing that the lovely Paul Walker from WarHQ asked me when I arrived at the Scottish National Bolt Action tournament and if I am being honest I didn’t really have a suitable answer.  The answer i did have was fairly simple I got caught up in building a Warhammer 40k army which you can find out more about here.

I had better start with an explination for Mr David Vencil who was nice enough to comment on the first post about this army, he mentioned that the 88mm PAK43 was out of place in the list and he was right.  I had stupidly listed the wrong gun on the list and hadn’t noticed it as it had been so long since I ran my 88mm in my other German force.  So with a few amendments I present the late desert war/Italy list with some corrections, this list is sitting at 1247/1250 and still contains 13 dice.

1 x Regular 1st Lt with buddy and sub machine gun

1 x Regular 250/1 Neu

8 x Regular Grenadier with sub machine gun & Light machine gun

1 x Regular 251/1 Hanomag

8 x Regular Grenadier with sub machine gun & Light machine gun & Panzerfaust

1 x Regular 251/1 Hanomag

8 x Regular Grenadier with sub machine gun & Light machine gun & Panzerfaust

1 x Regular Opel Blitz & medium machine gun

8 x Regular Grenadier with sub machine gun & Light machine gun & Panzerfaust

1 x Regular Opel Blitz & medium machine gun

1 x Regular 88mm Flak 36 AA/AT

1 x Regular SDKFZ 7 Famo

1 x Regular 250/8 Stummel 1 x Regular 250/9 Recce

This is the pile of miniatures and models I am working on for this list, the 88mm gun was a lucky eBay find and the rest was provided by WarHq and Rubicon.  There should be two boxes and German Infantry but I have managed to misplace the box.  I am just waiting on 2 x 250 Alte and 1 x 250 Neu to complete the force.

Just to prove to Paul that I have actually done some work I have managed to build this little lot, I have much more to go but I am getting there.  I am hoping to have the infantry all built in the next few weeks and then once the last few vehicles are here I am going to do a batch painting session and get them all done fast.
